Celebrate the end of the ski season at the wacky Pond Skimming event. The competition is open to all competitors 21yrs and older, and everyone is welcome to come watch this great winter Finale. The pond skimming celebrates the crazy feeling of spring and the end of another great ski season.

Participants must have skis or snowboards appropriately worn (normally mounted) as they attempt to cross an 80+ foot pond. Costumes are required and will be judged in a category of its own.

Skimming will be an individual competition based on longest skim ($1000 for first place, Great Prizes for second through 3rd place, and some other prizes - maybe best splash crash & slide, and a one hour massage for best crash). Participants will advance to the next round after each successful skim. Each subsequent round will be started lower down the slope, making it more difficult to cross the pond with less speed. We go till the last skimmer is a winner! This event always sells out for competitors, and we have had upwards of 2000 spectators. Come and end the season with the best end of season throw down around!!!

Everyone MUST Pre-register!!!

Pre-Registration is available at the Base Lodge Info center 8am-5pm daily.
