Paintings by the late Joe Abbrescia, Thomas Lewis, and many local artists are showcased at this new gallery in downtown Whitefish.
The Gallerie artists have all been through a strict selection process by a committee of art enthusiasts known as the Montana Art Guild. This committee is ultimately responsible for who is invited to display their works in our gallery. A calendar of events for the gallery that will help to showcase our artists will be coming soon. Artist will be featured with events such as artist in residence where they will paint at the gallery , as well as many other exciting upcoming community- wide events.
Th Gallerie is especially proud to welcome the work of the late Joe Abbrescia. He has been acclaimed by art critics around the world as one of America’s finest 20th century impressionists, and one of the most accomplished and beloved Glacier National Park artists ever to grace the Flathead Valley. Though he was best known for his works on Glacier, his subjects were numerous. Not just Joe’s own work, but even some of his own private collections.
You can also see the talented works of artists Thomas G. Lewis, Toni Whitney, Brandon Wiese, Mary Kelley, Kelly Apgar, Clint Walker, and Eric Thorsen in a combination of oils, watercolors, alkyds, pastels, photographs, and sculptures, all depicting the experiences we love about Montana.
“The Gallerie” at Piney Creek will be open Monday-Saturday from 10-6 and Sundays from 12-4 throughout the summer. The Gallerie is also available by appointment.
