Black Star beer invites you to participate in the Black Star Barter on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at the Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish, Montana. Bring any beer-worthy object or talent and barter it for a year’s supply of Black Star! They are entertaining all kinds of crazy offers in exchange for 52 cases of Black Star beer. Contestants will be judged on: creativity, awesomeness, thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. Barter items must be present in order to win and there will only be one winner so barter wisely beer-lovers!

Contestants may register their barter submission at the Great Northern Brewery beginning at 11 a.m. MST until just before the start of the barter at 4:30 p.m. MST. The Black Star barter will begin immediately after the Whitefish Winter Carnival parade so head over to Railway & Central Avenue directly after to enjoy local food trucks, music, beer gardens and barter entertainment!

Black Star beer and the Great Northern Brewery invite you to join them after the Barter at 7:30 p.m. for the Great Northern Brewing Company’s 17th Anniversary Party. Celebrate 17 years of fine brewing, Whitefish and Winter Carnival while dancing the night away at the Brewery to a local band with friends, family and the Black Star and Great Northern Brewery crew!

Joe Barberis head brewer of the Great Northern Brewery has prepared an Anniversary Black Lager especially for the occasion. It’s a smooth brew with light roastiness and noble hop aroma that you won’t want to miss.
